Are you stuck in first gear on your social studies project?
Volusia County Librarian Kim Dolce will offer tips for preparing social studies projects. This year’s theme is Leadership and Legacy in History. She will explain the rules, show examples, and offer tips for putting it all together during the free presentations. Social studies projects are required for most fourth graders and many middle and high school students in Volusia County schools.

The Edgewater Public Library will host two informational programs that will help seniors understand and evaluate their Medicare options. The first is presented by a representative from Atlantic Retirement Solutions and the second is presented by Debora Schmeltz from MarketPoint at Humana. Reservations are requested.

Visit the library and grove with librarian Assunta Fleming during her monthly urban line dancing series. Urban line dancing involves easy, synchronized steps & moves to well-known pop, rhythm and blues, & hip hop music. Learn the latest dances, get some exercise, and have some fun. Come dressed for physical activity and bring bottled water. Afterwards, check out or reserve one of the library's collection of instructional dance videos.
Due to the holiday season, this class is being offered on special dates for November and December.
