This craft is intended for ages 5 and up.
It contains small parts that might present a choking hazard.

SUPPLIES:
Soft branch or vine approximately 24 in. long (a hoop can be substituted)
Colorful yarn (you can often find leftover yarn at thrift stores)
Scissors
Cardboard scrap
Rubberband

INSTRUCTIONS:
Cut soft stick and bend the ends together until they meet to make the hoop. They should not crack or break.
Connect ends with rubberband.
Wind a 20 ft. length of yarn around the small piece of cardboard scrap.
Tie the end of the yarn around the ends of the stick and wind around until the rubberband is completely covered.
Set the stick down. From the outside of the loop, run the yarn under the stick to the inside of the hoop. Make a 1/2 circle inside the hoop, go back over the stick to the outside of the hoop, then finally run the yarn back under the stick and pull, loosely.

Repeat this: make a 1/2 circle inside, go over the stick, under the stick, and through the loop. Continue until you have small, loose loops all the way around the stick.
Then begin a second row, by simply running the yarn through each loop, pulling lightly and evenly.

This continues until the second row is complete, then a third and fourth and fifth. Straighten and pull to even out the rows along the way. When there is small circle in the middle, tie a good knot and trim excess yarn. Use yarn to tie on beads and feathers.
Place above the head of your bed to catch good dreams and keep bad dreams away.
